Shelton, Lambert divorce: Many questions to answer

For four years, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were one of the power couples of country music. However, this all came crashing down on July 20 when their divorce was finalized.

Despite the many questions regarding the split, the stars were able to divide their assets in a prompt and efficient manner, which is more than can be said for many in this position.

According to reports, Lambert will receive the couple’s home located in Nashville, Tennessee. Shelton, on the other hand, will get the ranch they owned in Oklahoma. It is important to note that this property was owned by Shelton before their marriage.

As is the case in many divorces, the question of pet custody also came to the forefront. At this time, it is believed that the couple is still working on the finer details of what will happen to their many pets. What is clear, however, is that Lambert will keep the horses that Shelton purchased for her during the marriage. Conversely, he will keep his horses.

There are also many dogs to consider, as Lambert is an avid pet lover and has long brought rescued puppies into her home.

Any high asset divorce has the potential to get messy, but it appears that Shelton and Lambert were able to avoid this situation thus far. Furthermore, it did not take long after the announcement of their divorce to divide all the property.

Unfortunately, not every divorce goes as smoothly. Instead, there are times when both parties continue to fight tooth and nail. This can drag out the divorce process for many months or longer.
